The City of Elk Grove is seeking experienced and motivated individuals to provide needed oversight on the planning, environmental, final design, and construction of capital improvement projects for a variety of project types including: Alternative Transportation Community Enhancements, Drainage, Facility, and Transportation projects.
This position will oversee numerous consultant contracts for either the delivery or construction of capital projects and should have experience in either capital project or construction management. You should also have experience in project management, consultant management, and grant management. This is an advanced journey level position in the registered engineer series and reports to the Public Works Division Manager.
Education/Training: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a closely related field. Four years of progressively responsible experience in professional engineering work including project management experience.
