SURFACE WATER MAINTENANCE PROGRAM MANAGER
NATURE OF WORK:
Plans, organizes, and oversees the daily operations and maintenance of the City's closed and open
storm water facilities, watersheds, lakes, and lakeshores. Includes supervising staff engaged in
performing maintenance work and pesticide application. Performs data collection and management of
debris collection for the City's National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) municipal separate storm sewer systems (MS4) program. Administers and manages various aquatic, lake management and storm water related contracts. Monitors and manages the program's operating budget and expenditures. Oversees and manages the City's street sweeping program. Performs other related work as necessary.
Associate degree or higher in chemistry, biology, engineering or related field with courses in business administration, and five years progressively more responsible experience with the management of storm water systems, watersheds, lakes, soil erosion, and pesticide application, including at minimum two years supervisory experience. Possession of a Florida Restricted Pesticide License, Aquatic and Right of Way categories. Must obtain and maintain an OSHA Hazardous Materials Handling, Level 2 Certification within a year. Valid Florida driver license required.
