Starting Salary: $19.45 to 24.80 per hour, depending on qualifications
NATURE OF WORK:
Provides administrative support and promotes public awareness in the area of Stormwater and lake management. A person assigned to this class is responsible for developing, coordinating, and presenting public education and information projects for the Stormwater Utility Division in an attempt to lessen environmental impacts made by citizens. Transports and arranges displays at exhibit-type functions. Maintains database and evaluates available data used in part to determine factors to base Stormwater fee upon. Work is performed under general supervision of Assistant Division Manager and performance is reviewed through conferences, reports and results obtained. Assignments are usually performed with general instructions, guidance and minimal supervision.
Associate's degree in biology, environmental science, or closely related field, and two years experience in the environmental/natural science field, and some experience in public education/presentations; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Driver License required.
VALID DRIVER LICENSE FROM ANY STATE MUST BE PROVIDED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW. FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE MUST BE PROVIDED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE.
