Perform a variety of duties involved in the maintenance, repair, installation, and construction of the water distribution pipeline system and associated areas; and perform other related duties as assigned.
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent
Three years of experience as a Utility Worker or similar title. Supplemental college level coursework in collections is desirable. Experience working on a wastewater collection system operating a variety of vehicles, tools, and equipment used in the maintenance, repair, cleaning, and video logging of sewer collection systems is desirable.
Licenses/ Certificates/ Special Requirements:
Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Commercial California driver's license, an acceptable driving record and evidence of insurability with tanker endorsement.
This position is subject to mandatory drug and alcohol testing pursuant to Department of Transportation and Federal Highway Administration requirements.
Grade III Wastewater Collection Systems Maintenance Certificate from the California Water Environmental Association (CWEA); and a
Grade I Water Distribution Operator Certification from the State of California, Department of Public Health and/or the State Water Resources Board; and a
Grade I Water Treatment Operator Certificate from the State of California, Department of Public Health and/or State Water Resources Board required.
Salary: $54,922 to $73,864 Annually
