Description

Perform independent review, approval, inspection, and acceptance of residential, commercial, floodplain management, and public works project proposals including plans, hydrologic and hydraulic models/analysis, drainage reports, traffic studies, and other floodplain management, development, and design related documents for compliance with Town of Estes Park and applicable local, state, and federal codes, standards, and guidelines.

This position will be filled at either the CE I or CEII level. A BS degree in civil engineering or a related field is required. A minimum of 1-year (CE I) or 4-years (CE II) work experience in transportation and stormwater engineering, municipal land use development review, 1D or 2D surface water modeling, floodplain management, or closely related fields is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. The CE I position requires EI, CM or PM certification. The CE II position required registration as a registered Professional Engineer (CE II) in the State of Colorado within 6 months of appointment. Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) credentials must be obtained within 6 months of appointment as Floodplain Administrator.

The hiring salary range for the CE I position is $2,135 to $2,855 per bi-weekly pay period depending on qualifications and experience. The hiring salary range for the CE II position is $2,631 to $3,519 per bi-weekly pay period depending on qualifications and experience. This position is exempt per FLSA.
