We are seeking an energetic engineer to join our Lakeland, FL team who can work independently at the task level on water, wastewater and stormwater system planning, design and construction projects for our municipal clients. You will be exposed to a variety of projects and will report directly to Project Engineers and Project Managers who provide leadership in the timely and quality delivery of services including effectve scheduling and cost management control and mentoring of professional staff.
The ideal candidate for this position will function well in a team environment, working closely with other engineers, designers and Project Managers to take a project through permitting, design and construction. Ideally, you will be familiar with engineering concepts associated with municipal water or wastewater systems or have a breadth of experience across both disciplines. Specific areas of experience may include hydraulic modeling, water/wastewater treatment processes and collection/distribution system infrastructure, and have experience preparing plans and specifications. Experience in state and EPA regulations regarding water/wastewater treatment and collection/distribution systems is a plus. Strong writing and communications skills are also required as assignments will include report writing, environmental studies and presentations. One need not have all the skillsets listed herein and Woodard & Curran will train the right individual.
- B.S. Degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related field.
- 1-5 years of engineering experience.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred.
- Experience working on water, wastewater or stormwater engineering related projects for municipal clients.
- Experience with construction administration.
- Experience with local, state, and federal regulatory permitting process.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, GIS or Modelling software
- Self-motivated and results driven.
