ESA is offering a rare career opportunity for the right individual as
Director of the Northwest Water Resources Group. This senior level position
allows for continuing professional growth through expansion of ESA's small
but growing Water Resources Group, providing an opportunity to build upon
experienced staff and longstanding client relationships. The ideal candidate
is a highly motivated and dynamic senior level engineer, hydrologist or
geomorphologist who will lead our Northwest team.  The candidate should have
a strong entrepreneurial sense, enjoy a collaborative working environment,
and bring a strong sense of enthusiasm for his/her work.



The qualified candidate should have experience working on a range of water
resource management projects, including watershed management, stream and/or
riparian restoration, stormwater management, and/or floodplain
protection/management.  The candidate should also have a strong working
knowledge of federal and state environmental and regulatory requirements.



We will consider individuals possessing broad-based experience with water
resource management.  Must have demonstrated leadership capabilities,
experience in marketing and business development, supervisory and mentoring
skills, recognized technical and academic credentials, and strong writing
and communication skills. 



Business development responsibilities include:



*        Develop an expanded client base in the water resource market
*        Generate new projects with existing clients
*        Lead proposal efforts and interviews
*        Participate in appropriate professional associations and conferences




The successful candidate could be based in our existing Seattle, Washington,
Olympia, Washington, or Portland, Oregon offices.

Requirements: The qualified candidate will have 10-15 years of increasingly
responsible experience in consulting and/or in a public agency.  Requires at
minimum a Bachelor's degree in engineering, hydrology, geomorphology, or
related water resources background.   A Master's or other advanced degree
and/or a Professional Engineer license is highly desirable.
